Police are investigating the theft of a purse from a vehicle while a woman took a child into a daycare in the Center Grove area. Investigators are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect's vehicle, which is believed to be a 2000 to 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe. SUBMITTED PHOTO

A woman’s purse was stolen from her vehicle in the parking lot of a Center Grove area day care Tuesday.

The woman parked her car outside the Goddard School, 5044 Bancroft Lane, at 7:10 a.m. to drop off her son, according to a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report.
