A bullet was fired into a home east of Greenwood on Saturday.
Two residents in the 700 block of South Nay Road called police just after 11:30 a.m. They told police they heard a loud bang on top of their roof and then saw what looked like a hole. While outside, they heard at least two gun shots coming from an area west of the home, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy found that a bullet had gone through the roof and traveled through a closet and pierced duct work in the home, the report said.
Deputies spoke to residents of a nearby home, who said they had fired a gun into the ground, the report said. No one was arrested, and police are investigating.
