A photograph gallery of children who need to be adopted will be on display in Greenwood starting today.
The Indiana Department of Child Services will present the Heart Gallery through Jan. 27 at the Community Church of Greenwood, 1477 W. Main St.
The gallery is meant to bring attention to children in foster care who need permanent homes.
The department of child services is recruiting adoptive families for 75 to 100 Hoosier children.
A dozen portraits will be on display.
“Every child needs a family they can call their own. We need families that are not only willing to love our children but are also prepared to commit to them, claim them as their own and hang in there through their ups and downs,” said Sandra Caesar, the department’s adoption manager.
Viewing times are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays; 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and Sundays; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
