Take a stroll along U.S. 31 in Franklin and your path sometimes will be concrete, other times patches of grass and weeds.

The story is the same along Main Street in Greenwood, State Road 135 and plenty of subdivisions in the Center Grove area.

Sidewalks that go on without interruption are hard to find in some areas of Johnson County.

As shopping centers, businesses or neighborhoods are built, so are concrete sidewalks or asphalt walking trails.
