A Greenwood woman was arrested after police said she and a man stole a handgun, medication and other items from a home while a resident slept.
Randi Cowan, 23, 3314 Nassau Court, was arrested on charges of burglary and theft.
Police said Cowan and a man walked into an unlocked home in the 3000 block of Greensview Drive and stole a Colt .32 handgun, two video cameras, a pearl necklace, prescription medications and a wallet containing a credit card, according to a police report.
The family living in the house told police that one of the residents was asleep inside the home during the July 29 burglary, the report said.
About two hours after the burglary another man, Gary Koons, who was dating Cowan, went to a store in Indianapolis and used the stolen credit card to buy $756.94 in items, including a TV, the report said. Koons, 25, was arrested in Marion County.
Cowan was being held at the Johnson County jail on $40,000 bond. Police have not yet found the other man who was with her in the home.
