Two people have been charged with multiple counts of theft after police said they stole bottles of alcohol from at least three Greenwood stores over the last 19 months.
Donald Hill, 46, was charged with four counts of theft and one count of attempted battery. Lisa Ramos, 36, was charged with five counts of theft.
In June, police were called to Target, 895 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, when an employee reported a woman had stolen several bottles of alcohol from the store, worth $250, and left with a man in a pickup truck.
Police received three theft reports from Kroger, 3100 Meridian Parke Dr., Greenwood, in June, where security cameras showed Hill and Ramos stealing bottles of alcohol, the report said. The stolen alcohol was worth a total of about $850. Employees at Meijer in Greenwood told police Hill and Ramos stole alcohol from that store in May 2012, the report said.
Hill, 56 S. Third Ave., Beech Grove, and Ramos, 1215 E. Markwood Ave., Indianapolis, were arrested and taken to the Johnson County jail. Hill was held on $13,000 bond, and Ramos was held on $27,000 bond.
