Two men were arrested after police said syringes and drug paraphernalia were found in a vehicle during a traffic stop in the Center Grove area Thursday afternoon.
Joey Terrell, 36, of 215 N. Rogers St., Bloomington, and Donald Bruhn, 35, of 8 Popcorn Road, Springville, were arrested on charges of false identity statements, possession of a drug injection device and possession of paraphernalia. Terrell was also arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
A sheriff’s deputy stopped Terrell near the intersection of State Road 37 and Fairview Road about 12:45 p.m. Terrell gave the deputy the wrong date of birth, but the deputy found he had a suspended driver’s license and an outstanding warrant, a police report said. Bruhn, a passenger in the vehicle, gave the deputy a different name. Bruhn had a warrant out of Monroe County, the report said.
While searching the vehicle, police found a syringe and a brown leather pouch with a knife and spoon and another black pouch with four syringes and two spoons, the report said.
Terrell was taken to the Johnson County jail and held on $12,000 bond. Bruhn was held on $10,000 bond.
