Odd behavior leads to arrests in Greenwood

Follow Daily Journal:

Two people were arrested at a Greenwood store after police said the couple tried to hide a handgun from an officer.

Amanda Downs, 32, 85 Bryant Court, Franklin, and Kevin Moss, 28, 4732 Atlanta Ave., Indianapolis, were arrested Wednesday night on a charge of carrying a handgun without license.

Store employees called police, saying Moss made strange comments and that he and Downs were acting strangely, according to a police report.

Moss told the officer he wasn’t feeling well, and he and Downs sat down in a dressing room, where they tried to hide the gun under a jacket, the report said. Moss said he had found the gun in the Greenwood Park Mall parking lot, but then he said Downs found it, police said.

Both were taken to the Johnson County jail, where Downs was being held on $3,000 bond and Moss was being held on $6,000 bond.
