A Bargersville woman was arrested after police said she fell asleep after drinking, leaving her baby unattended.
Morgan Lannan, 30, was charged with one felony charge of neglect of a dependent after the incident in March. She was arrested this week on a warrant.
On March 18, Lannan’s mother said her daughter came over to her home next door about 1:30 p.m. to pick up her child. Lannan had been drinking earlier in the day, the report said.
At 3 p.m., the mother went next door and saw Lannan asleep on the couch. The baby was awake, without a diaper on and licking a tube of diaper ointment, and she took the baby home with her, the report said. Lannan called police when she woke up to report that her mother had come into her house without her permission, the police report said. Police gave her a breath test about 6 p.m., which showed a blood-alcohol content of .22 percent, almost three times the legal limit to be considered too intoxicated to drive.
Lannan, 37 W. Old South St., was taken to the Johnson County jail and released on a $3,000 bond.
