Seven inches of water leaked into a downtown Franklin building when heavy rain hit, but cleaning up will be minor compared to what the business faced with 7 feet of floodwater in 2008.
“Seven feet is a disaster. Seven inches, you suck it up and move on,” Graham’s Wrecker Service owner Scott Graham said.
Young’s Creek in Franklin topped its banks after heavy rain hit the area on Saturday night and Sunday morning, but not nearly to the point of the catastrophic flood more than five years ago. Franklin seemed to get less rain and flooding than Greenwood or the Center Grove area, Mayor Joe McGuinness said.
