When police searched dormitories at the Atterbury Job Corps center this week, they found cocaine and spice.

A man and a teen were arrested and five men were issued summons to appear in court.

The sweep was requested by the Job Corps center near Edinburgh and conducted by Johnson County sheriff’s deputies Tuesday.

Denzel Squire Miller, 21, 2210 N. Keeler Ave., Chicago, was arrested on a charge of possession of cocaine after a police dog sniffed a drug substance in his bag. The substance tested positive for cocaine during a field test, according to a sheriff’s office report.

Five men were issued summonses to appear in court after four of them told police they had spice and spice was found on the fifth man.

Job Corps security officers found two plastic bags of spice and a green smoking pipe in a 17-year-old’s locker. He was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of possession of paraphernalia and issued a summons to appear in court.

Miller was taken to the Johnson County jail, where he was being held on $3,000 bond.
