A Whiteland man was injured Tuesday morning when his motorcycle collided with a Jeep.
Gregory Bailey, 33, was driving his motorcycle south on U.S. 31 near Ironwood Drive in Franklin when the Jeep in front of him braked. Bailey’s motorcycle struck the back end of the Jeep, driven by Raymond Wilson, 28, of Franklin, and went off the road, according to a police report.
Bailey had a head injury and was unable to speak to officers, the report said. A medical helicopter took Bailey to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, police said.
Bailey was in surgery Wednesday afternoon and his condition was not available because the hospital does not release the condition of a patient in surgery, hospital spokeswoman Lori Ewoldt said.
