A Kentucky man was arrested after police said he left his vehicle and began walking along Interstate 65 after an accident.
Police found the wrecked car empty just before 3 a.m. Sunday, but state police said the car contained identification for Steven Dennison, 36, of Russell Springs, Ky.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office searched the area near the crashed car and saw Dennison walking along a fence line. Officers arrested Dennison on a warrant for a contempt of court charge.
Dennison’s head was bleeding and he said he was the passenger of the car that crashed, according to a police report.
Dennison was being held at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office on a $220 cash bond.
