A Franklin man hit a woman with a vase during an argument, according to police.
Joseph L. Kirby, 31, 835 S. Old U.S. 31, Lot 8, was arrested on charges of domestic battery and possession of marijuana.
Police were called to a home about 8 p.m. Thursday and found that a woman had a cut on the back of her head, according to a police report.
She told police that Kirby had gotten angry with her and threw a vase at her, hitting her in the head, the report said.
Police also found the synthetic cannabinoid spice in the home, according to a police report.
Kirby was taken to the Johnson County jail, where he was being held on $2,000 bond.
