Library extends deadline for writing project

Follow Daily Journal:

Johnson County Public Library’s writing project deadline has been extended until Saturday.

Entries for the writing contest that asks readers what their community means to them.

Stories must be about a community in Johnson County and be less than 1,000 words. The stories should be unpublished and not have received awards. Stories must be original.

A parent or guardian must sign the release form for children younger than 18. Anyone in Johnson County can participate — children (Grade 3 and up), teens and adults. You do not need to be a library patron in order to participate.
