To the editor:

Doctors are now Drug Enforcement Agency agents working for the state of Indiana and not you.

After passage of an Indiana law severely restricting common pain and anxiety medications, doctors have been forced to become the state’s tool rather than your doctor. Forced urine drug tests administered twice a year or no medication. Worse than that is failure of any kind may mean immediate termination of service and a long painful anxiety-filled time trying to find a new doctor and starting the process over again.

Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act plus the Indiana Code IC25-22.5-13-2 has created a complete mess. Doctors are not doctors, they are now DEA agents regulated to bid the government’s due. Your well-being is no longer the first concern.

This troubling Indiana law needs immediate repeal.

If reasonable men, women and doctors remain silent, chaos and pain will be plentiful.
