To the editor:

In response to the letter printed on Feb. 15 by Mr. Steve Watson of Greenwood:

As you well know, it isn’t a crime to be “gullible or stupid,” as you put it, and be taken in by scams; it happens every day. But what may be criminal and surely isn’t just being gullible or stupid is that someone shoots an unarmed person two to three times and the prosecutor’s office becomes prosecutor, judge and jury and chooses not to file charges, as just recently happened.

That generally indicates dirt in the closet, unless covered by concrete. We do not need the prosecutor’s office running the Johnson County Republican Party.

All concerned residents should be contacting their precinct committee person and requesting that we maintain our present Republican leadership and retain Sandi Huddleston and Beth Boyce in their roles as our parties leadership.
