To the editor:
I believe every home built in recent years includes a two- or three-car garage attached. Up to four additional vehicles can be parked in the driveway. The daily hassle of getting cars out from the driveway is not a problem for others.
Not mentioned in the Daily Journal article (“Cars lining streets could mean tickets for owners,” July 23) was the appearance problem that comes with 24-hour parking. Take a drive through a community where it is allowed and see the results.
I see no need for the current rule to be “tweaked;” it’s working fine. Keep the streets clear for emergency vehicles, school buses, the snowplow and early-morning commuters.
