Letter: God wants to hear America praying

To the editor:
Our world is hurting so bad. The tragedy in Colorado is just another sign of us ignoring Jesus. We have to repent, and God wants to hear us loud and clear.
Lament in every place and area of our lives with true repentance. God’s word in Amos says it perfect. In Amos 5:18-24, he says woe to everyone that wants to see God’s judgment day. When he comes, there will be bad news before good news.
He can’t stand our religious meetings. He’s fed up with our conferences and conventions. He wants nothing to do with our religion projects, slogans and goals. He’s sick of fundraising schemes, public relations and image making. He’s had all he can take with our noisy ego-music.
When was the last time you sang to me? Do you know what I want? I want justice — oceans of it. I want fairness — rivers of it.
That’s what I want. That’s all I want. I will be praying for America and the world to come to Jesus before it is too late.
