To the editor:
Majority leader of the House of Representatives and members of the House:
I have been watching closely the bills being presented before the House. Nothing has surfaced to challenge the odious section of the Obama health care law regarding the rationing of care to the most fragile of our fellow Americans, the elderly.
Sunday morning, Jan. 20, I arose very early and turned on the TV. I came in late on a panel of people and two doctors discussing medical treatment for the “old” people.
The criteria to be used to determine whether a person was a candidate for medical treatment is as follows: If a person receives medical care, would the patient then be self-sustained? Also be active, have duties to perform such as a caregiver, but would not be treated to just sit. Both doctors agreed this was how it should be and “we do it all the time.”
I called all the television stations in my area. All denied knowing anything about this program.
Sir, has anyone given thought to those neglected people? Just ignore the consequences and it will all go away?
How many people will be afraid to see a doctor?
Are the elected representatives of the House going to permit this elective genocide to exist? Who are these politicians that have taken over the responsibilities of God? Why are they to dictate who lives or dies?
I am asking all of our representatives to take the responsibility to repeal this repugnant bill. It is well known this bill smells of genocide.
You may have guessed, if God allows, I will be 86 in February. I will have to be in very serious straits to be given into the hands of a doctor.
I would ask this letter be read on the floor.
