To the editor:

We have a chance in Franklin to have some transparency in the Franklin trustee’s office. I’m very impressed with Lydia Wales as she is running for the office in May. I have spoken to Lydia on several occasions, and her compassion for the office will allow those needing assistance an avenue to be treated fairly, without malice.

Lydia recently came to a Teen Link meeting to understand the plight of teen homelessness, a plight affecting many of our youth in this county.

Teens were amazed someone from a political office would care to sit and hear their stories of homelessness. To see her compassion is a breath of fresh air for Franklin. To have transparency and accountability for the trustee’s office I feel is very needed in our community today.
