Learn to spot storms during free class

Follow Daily Journal:

People can learn how to spot storms ahead of the tornado and thunderstorm season.

Franciscan St. Francis Health is hosting National Weather Service storm spotter training on March 26.

The class is 2 to 3:15 p.m. in the basement auditorium at Franciscan St. Francis Health-Indianapolis, 8111 S. Emerson Ave. on the southside. The free event is open to the public.

National Weather Service relies on trained weather spotters to report conditions in the field that radar can’t detect, according to a statement from the hospital.
