Part of the picnic that members of Indian Creek’s senior class threw last week at Camp Allendale was dedicated to digging up a time capsule they buried five years beforehand.
Eventually revealed were the beliefs and dreams of a group of seventh-graders, circa 2007, including those of Katie Wise.
“It was neat to see what we said. I still like the same restaurants,” a smiling Wise said, referring to fast-food favorites KFC and Taco Bell. “It brought back a lot of memories and was fun to look at.”
Among the more captivating finds was something Wise had written about ultimately becoming a state championship sprinter in track and parlaying those talents into a scholarship at Indiana State University.
