A local high school science project was one of five selected in the state to receive a grant.
Indian Creek’s sophomore science class developed a project called Bringing Data to Life, which used sensors and data interfaces to allow students to collect and analyze changes in temperature, pressure and motion.
Katherine Fix is the teacher who submitted the project, according to the news release.
Indian Creek was selected as one of five state winners in the CenturyLink Clarke M. Williams Foundation’s Teachers and Technology grant program.
The school received $4,610 to buy new technology materials for the project and was selected from a group of 33 schools, according to a news release from CenturyLink.
