When Angel Hahn and her husband, Bob, moved into their Franklin home nine years ago, she saw an empty canvas to be painted.

Their lot was formerly a cornfield. In nine years they have transformed the 10-acre lot into a landscaped home surrounded by flower gardens, a vegetable garden and a nearly 1-acre pond, now full of line-snapping catfish, bluegill and bass.

Angel Hahn grew up in the city of Franklin. “I hated weeding, but gardening is a hobby that you get sucked into,” she said.

Now when she’s gardening, “I sometimes forget what time it is, so Bob ends up grilling something for dinner,” she added.
