Hungry diners filed into the Bamboo Café for fire-baked pizzas, chopped salads and sauteed noodles as the lunch rush started.

They picked up orders of herb-infused mashed potatoes, or fresh green beans. For those who needed to eat on the go, a station of lunch meats on artisan bread allowed people to grab a sandwich on their way out.

The variety of flavors was something you’d find at a high-end restaurant. But this wasn’t a downtown Indianapolis hotspot; rather, it was the newly renovated eatery inside Community Hospital South.
