The a cappella pipeline runs deep at Indiana University.
For the past 15 years, vocally talented and witty students have formed the singing group Straight No Chaser. The original group has spun off to become a multi-platinum-selling sensation, touring the country and featured in its own Christmas special.
Now, another group of former members are trying their hand at that same kind of fame.
Gentleman’s Rule is a 10-piece ensemble made up of Straight No Chaser alumni, including Center Grove area native Brent Mann. For more than a month, the members have been gathering in a Bloomington studio to record their take on the Rolling Stones, Outkast and Bob Marley.
