Help local athletes by donating blood today

Giving blood today could help Franklin cheerleaders and football players have a cookout at the Colts’ training center.

A blood drive sponsored by the Indiana Blood Center will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the high school, 2600 Cumberland Drive.

More than 30 Indiana high school football teams and cheerleading squads are competing to win the cookout.

Schools can host the largest blood drive, have the largest percentage of participation relative to school size and recruit 30 or more people to be in the drive and be entered in a raffle.
