On behalf of the entire drivers association, I want to thank each and every one who recently helped share a little Christmas cheer for 25 clients of the Gateway Adult Day Program by contributing time and effort toward our successful field trip to the Johnson County Museum of History. I would like to extend our appreciation to the museum staff and curator and their volunteers, who have organized a wonderful exhibit for the season. We especially enjoyed the Christmas tree decorating contest. Also, I would like to thank the Johnson County commissioners and county taxpayers for their continued support of our museum.

I want to say thank-you for my 98th birthday celebration. My thanks to my relatives and friends for all the beautiful flowers, cards and phone calls. And to my daughter, Donna Dhondt, and her daughter, Karen Patrick, for serving the open house dinner for the family. It was a great idea and big success enjoyed by all. What a great send-off for year 98! Hope I make a good landing. Thanks so much.

Hearts and a big thank-you to the man in the black
jacket who helped me when I fell outside the Franklin Walmart on Christmas Eve around noon. I was so startled and shook up from falling that I didn’t even look at your face. Again, thank you for helping me.
There really are angels among us, and I met her Saturday in the checkout lanes at Kroger. The lady behind me came forward and paid my bill. I was so shocked. I hope I thanked her appropriately. I will pass the kindness along by sending a check to (a Johnson County food pantry). You truly do have the Christmas spirit. God bless and have a merry Christmas.
A special thank-you to the Greenwood Community High School boys and girls who crocheted scarves for the Greenwood Social members. Your generous gifts warmed our hearts as well as our bodies.

Hearts to Kenny Duncan and his crew with the Greenwood street department. Within the hour of calling to report a sinkhole, the crew was there working to fix it. Thank you for your dedication and caring to keeping the streets in Greenwood safe. Happy New Year to all of you!
