Franklin Boy Scout Troop 228 would like to thank all those who have graciously purchased scout popcorn or made a donation to our troop. Your generosity has greatly aided our troop in being able to provide a full calendar of events for our boys. Thank you.
Huge hearts to the cities and towns that had their trick-or-treating hours end at 8 or 8:30 p.m. Even though people have the option to turn their porch lights out any time they want, some choose to continue going house to house until the final minute. An earlier end time still allows people plenty of time, as well as those with smaller children to get them to bed on time.
Hearts to my daughter Michelle Burgett for stopping to help a gentleman who had fallen behind the Kroger in Franklin. She helped him put his shoe back on, gathered up the groceries he dropped and then gave him a ride home. She truly is a good Samaritan.
Many hearts to the Franklin College freshmen who hosted a dance/party for the Franklin Active Adult Center. We were offered a variety of music to dance to, with special requests being honored. We were also privileged enough to get to dance with several students. Not only did they host the dance for us, they provided us a hot meal and snacks. It is good to see the future leaders of our community/country taking the time to step back in time and be a part of our lives. We hope we made an impression on you as you did on us.
