For some fun, spooky thrills, check out the following upcoming Halloween events:

Wednesday

Monster Mash: 5 p.m., Greenwood Public Library, 310 S. Meridian St., family-friendly Halloween party, businesses will give away treats, all profits from business booth sponsorships will go to library materials, for information: 317-885-1953, greenwoodlibrary.us

Thursday

Alternative Halloween: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Mount Pleasant Christian Church, 381 N. Bluff Road, Greenwood, free, activities will include bounce houses, hayrides, pumpkin decorating, games and food including a s’mores station, for information: 881-6727

Hallelujah Festival: 6 to 8 p.m., Calvary Baptist Church, 200 Sunset Blvd., Greenwood, free event is open to the public and will feature costumes, games, hay rides and candy

Friday

Halloween Buyback Candy Program: 5 to 7 p.m., Greenwood Springs Family Dental, 1273 Emerson Ave., Suite A, Greenwood. Kids can sell their Halloween candy for $1 per pound. The candy will be donated to the USO for military service members overseas. Information: 317-300-8391.
