Police used a Taser while arresting a Nineveh man, who fought with officers hours after reports of gunfire in a house.
Brandon A. Gunter, 25, was arrested Sunday on a charge of resisting law enforcement.
Police from multiple departments, including deputies from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, went to Gunter’s address after receiving a report that a weapon had been fired inside. They found Gunter upstairs and unresponsive. When they tried to handcuff him, Gunter opened his eyes and started fighting with police, a sheriff’s office report said.
Police used a Taser and then were able to handcuff him. Investigators also found that a gun had been fired inside the home about 11 hours before police had been called, and police removed a handgun from the residence, the report said.
Gunter, 458 E. County Road 775S, was taken to the Johnson County jail, where he was being held on $1,000 bond.
