The Franklin College men’s basketball team won its 2013-14 season-opener in dramatic fashion, earning a 96-91 overtime road victory over Wabash College on Friday night at Chadwick Court.
Senior Bailey Howard led four double-figure scorers with 25 points. He made three three-point field goals and all 10 free throws.
Sophomore Trae Washington added 20 points and five assists for the Grizzlies.
Franklin senior Troy Porter had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. The forward went 3-of-5 from behind the arc.
Senior Terry Sargent chipped in 15 points to round out the balanced scoring attack.
Franklin (1-0) converted 34-of-40 free throw attempts.
