Golf course incident leads to teen’s arrest

Follow Daily Journal:

One teen was arrested, and three others were sent home with their parents after they tested positive for consuming alcohol at a Center Grove area home.

Nikolas Andrew Angelsky, 18, was arrested on a charge of minor consumption, and the three other teens were sent home with their parents. Five other teens tested negative for alcohol, according to a police report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

An employee at Dye’s Walk Golf Club called police about 6:30 a.m. Sunday and reported that someone broke two decorative pots in front of the clubhouse and drove a golf cart on two of the greens early that morning. The employee told police he believed it was one of several teens who had been at a nearby house in the 2100 block of Woodsway Drive during the weekend, the police report said.

Officers looked at a golf cart at the house and found clumps of wet grass on the cart, the report said. In the home’s garage, police found two hole flags that had been run over and taken from the course.

Angelsky told officers two other teens who had been at the home had driven the golf cart onto the course the night before, the report said.

Anglesky, 2150 Woodsway Drive, Greenwood, was taken to the Johnson County jail and was released on $1,000 bond.
