Fundraiser to help fight genetic disorder slated

Follow Daily Journal:

CCM3 Action, an organization dedicated to raising money for a blood vessel genetic disorder, will host the Our walk, Cavernous Cure Movement fundraiser on May 17.

The walk will be noon to 6 p.m. at Greenwood Community High School, 615 W. Smith Valley Road.

CCM3 Action helps raise money for research and helps local families see a specialist in Chicago for the condition.

CCM3 is a genetic condition in which blood vessels in the brain and spinal column become thin, swelling with blood and eventually rupturing. This causes seizures, strokes and other symptoms.

Walkers can register now to participate in the walk. The registration fee is $25 and includes a T-shirt. Registration information is available at www.facebook.com/CCM3Indy.
