Fraternal Order of Police recognized by Indiana

The auxiliary of the Johnson County Fraternal Order of Police has received the Indiana State Auxiliary of the Year recognition.

The auxiliary formed late last summer as a way to bring together families of police officers and establish a social bond among them. The group has since raised money for several county organizations and charities.

The award was given for their charitable work including Shop with a Cop, back-to-school programs, the Johnson County Special Olympics, Relay for Life, the Johnson County Little League and Bantam programs, Boys and Girls Clubs, Scouting troops and other civic organizations.
