It was a long night for the Franklin College women’s basketball team at IUPUI on Monday evening.

The NCAA Division I Jaguars ran away with a 94-34 victory against the Division III Grizzlies in the lone exhibition game for both teams this season.

Sophomore guard Dee-Dee Bellamy scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds, and freshman forward Akilah Sims added 13 points and six rebounds for IUPUI, which collected 53 rebounds to Franklin’s 25.

Franklin center Lindsey Dall, a sophomore, led Franklin with nine points in a reserve role. Krista Schott and Jess Prewett added six and five points, respectively.

The Grizzlies open the regular season at 6 p.m. Nov. 16 when they take on Spalding in the Franklin College Tip-Off Tournament at Spurlock Center.
