Franklin College set two major single-game team records in its rout of women’s basketball host St. Mary-of-the-Woods College on Wednesday night.
The Grizzlies breezed to a 122-68 victory on the Pomeroys’ home court to improve to 4-1.

Five Grizzlies scored points in double digits, led by sophomore Nichole Thompson, a Greenwood Community High School graduate, who tallied a game-high 19.
Senior Jess Prewett scored 16 points, junior Krista Schott followed with 14, senior Lindsay Rich had 12, and sophomore Brittany Elliott added 10 for Franklin, which shot 48 percent from the field.
St. Mary-of-the-Woods (0-6), which committed 35 turnovers, was paced by seniors Whitney Allen and Center Grove graduate Brittney Shaner, who scored 19 and 17 points, respectively.
Franklin will play host to Bluffton at 2 p.m. Saturday.
