Franklin Mayor Joe McGuinness will recap another year during the annual state of the city address on Tuesday.
In 2013, Franklin completed several large road and sidewalk projects, three of the city’s large auto parts manufacturers announced multimillion-dollar expansions adding new jobs, and several historic restoration projects were launched in the downtown.
More road construction is on the way this year. Franklin will rebuild the remaining portion of North Main Street to U.S. 31 and repave downtown streets, as well as plan projects to reconstruct State Road 44 starting in 2015.
McGuinness will give the address at the Artcraft Theatre, 57 N. Main St., at 6 p.m.
Non-English speaking people or people with disabilities who plan to attend but will need assistance should contact Angie Longtin, director of communications, at 736-3602.
