A Franklin man was arrested after police said he left the scene of an accident Tuesday evening with a blood-alcohol level more than three times the legal limit.
Rudy Williams, 48, of 6710 E. County Road 400S, Franklin, was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence.
A driver on the north side of County Road 400S called police after another truck sideswiped his truck and pulled into a nearby driveway.
A deputy from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office followed fresh tire tracks from the accident to Williams’ house nearby, according to a police report.
Williams told the deputy he had left the scene of an accident, and a certified test showed his blood-alcohol content was 0.27 percent, more than three times the legal limit of 0.08 percent in Indiana.
Williams was arrested and taken to the Johnson County jail, where he was held on $2,000 bond.
