A Franklin man was arrested after his wife reported that he hit her and threatened to kill her and her two children.
Tristan Harris, 31, was arrested Thursday on charges of criminal confinement, theft, intimidation, domestic battery and battery.
Police were called to a store in Franklin about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday after a woman asked an employee to call 911. When officers arrived the woman told them Harris was on his way to their home to kill her two children. Police went to the house and did not find Harris and the children were not hurt, according to the police report.
The woman told police that she and Harris had an argument and she asked him to leave the house. Harris grabbed a pair of scissors and pressed them against the side of her face and said he was going to kill her and her children. Harris smacked her in the face and forced her into his car, according to the report.
She told police Harris said he was going to drive 100 mph and kill them both. She was able to get him to stop at the store in Franklin, the report said. Before officers arrived, Harris left the store and stole two bottles of beer, the report said.
Harris, 1053 Mustang Court, was arrested and taken to the Johnson County jail where he is being held on $22,000 bond.
