Four teens were injured when their vehicle went off the road, struck a tree and caught fire near Trafalgar.
Two passersby discovered the accident. One ran for help while the other person tried to get the teens out of the vehicle, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.
Officers arrived and helped the woman get the teens out of the car, which had caught fire, the report said.
The accident happened just after 3:30 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Centerline Road and County Road 750S. One of the teens in the vehicle told police he remembered the car felt funny going around a curve before striking a tree, but the other teens were not able to talk to police because they needed medical care, according to the report.
The passersby stayed with the teens and tried to comfort them, the report said.
All four teens in the car were taken to hospitals, with one being flown to Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health, the report said.
Brock Brown, 18, Nineveh, the driver of the vehicle, was taken to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital.
Nick Seyfried, 14, Nineveh, was flown to Riley Hospital at IU Health by medical helicopter.
Jordan A. McGowan, 16, Nineveh, was taken to Johnson Memorial Hospital.
Austin Egner, 15, Nineveh, was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital.
