You can share your ideas about a new pool or anything else that’s going on in Greenwood at a meeting Saturday.
Greenwood will have a public meeting to gather input about any topic, including the plans to build a new pool. The meeting will be from 10 a.m. to noon at Greenwood Municipal Airport, 799 E. County Line Road.
The city council and pool committee want to hear from people, such as where a pool should be located, how it should be paid for and what amenities it should include. The meeting will be the last one where public comments will be gathered on the pool plans, committee member Thom Hord said.
The committee is getting closer to finalizing a proposal for replacing the 55-year-old city pool in the Old Town, which was closed permanently because of safety concerns.
Residents also can ask questions, voice concerns or have their say about any other city business.
If you can’t make it by 10 a.m., that’s fine. The committee welcomes anyone who wants to arrive later in the morning.
