The northbound lanes of Interstate 65 were closed Thursday night after a fatal crash involving a vehicle and semi-truck.
A driver was killed when they drove their vehicle underneath a semi on I-65 south of Franklin around 7 p.m., Indiana State Police Sgt. Rich Myers said.
Witnesses told police the car was traveling at a high speed when it ran almost completely underneath the semi. The semi was traveling at or below the 70 mph speed limit, Myers said.
Police had not yet removed the vehicle from underneath the semi and identified the victim as of Thursday night, Myers said.
