Hearts

Hearts to the people who worked on the railroad crossing on State Road 44 west of State Road 135. It is so nice to cross a smooth track, and I’m sure all who cross it daily appreciate it very much. Thanks so much on a job well done!

Morgantown

Huge hearts to everyone that helped make the annual Sparkler Sprint 5K fundraiser a success again this year! Thank you to all the sponsors, donations, runners/walkers and the Franklin Community High School cross country team for manning the course. We appreciate everyone’s help and support. Looking forward to next year!

Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County would like to send a huge heart to Nestle Waters in Greenwood for their huge water donation. Our volunteers truly appreciate this donation when they are building houses, tearing down uninhabitable structures, attending fundraisers and holding meetings. We were also able to share this donation with several other nonprofits in our county who were also very appreciative. Thank you for being such a wonderful community partner!

Darts

Darts to all highway departments — state, county and local — for creating a dangerous situation by failing to maintain painted lane lines and side of road stripes. Darts also to state legislators and governor who, with their cut, cut, cut mentality, have left so many governmental agencies scrambling for the funds to provide even basic services such as this.
