Hearts

Blessed Hearts to South Pointe Church for sponsoring, coordinating, funding and presenting Movies in the Park in New Whiteland. On Aug. 2 they entertained the community with music and games before showing “The Lego Movie,” all at no charge to those in attendance. What a fabulous outreach to the community. Thank you for sharing your hearts with all of us.

Thank you to all the people who have helped in the Needham Nature Center over the summer — Boy Scout Troop 228, Brownie Troop 1664, Herb Hall for cleaning out the Butterfly Garden, our grounds crew, especially Jay Gephart for his work around the one-room schoolhouse and lastly to Jimmy Pryor. Jimmy is a former Needham Bulldog and he completed his Eagle Scout Project this summer. He repainted the totem, landscaped around it and the Memory Garden and made repairs and repainted the Garden Shed. A huge heart to all of you.

Happy hearts and dancing feet to Mike Combs for providing deejay services during New Whiteland’s National Night Out. The music was great and your presence at the event was truly appreciated. Thanks also to the Bloomington and Greenwood Target Stores for supplying the food and the volunteers to feed all who participated that evening. You made a couple of lucky bicycle winners pretty happy that evening, too. Thanks to all of the local businesses and organizations who set up during National Night Out. We are so blessed to have you as neighbors and as community supporters.

Happy, full hearts to Whit’s Inn, South Pointe Church and The Point Church for supplying lunch for the Indiana National Guard Warrant Officer Class on Aug. 2. The food was fabulous and no one left hungry! Your generosity to serve these veterans as they served our community made for a stress free, enjoyable day. Thanks to all who contributed in making this a successful event.

Lt. Tracy Rumble

A big thank-you to our mail and newspaper carriers for never missing us. You waded through mud and piles of dirt when our home was being repaired and rebuilt.

Lots and lots of Hearts to the New Whiteland/Whiteland volunteer rescue units, Greenwood and Whiteland/New Whiteland ambulance drivers, the Whiteland/New Whiteland police departments for helping my husband, Reginald Harrison, after a he fell many times when I couldn’t get him up from the floor. You all are the best, very compassionate, helpful and respectful. We appreciate all you guys and gals. And to Franciscan St. Francis hospital staff — again, lots of Hearts to each of you in appreciation. God bless you.
