Darts to Greenwood Police Traffic Control after the fireworks Saturday (June 28). I have always enjoyed watching the Greenwood fireworks. I always had a short 10-minute trip home afterward. This year all the stoplights were changed to flashing red. Officers were at each intersection. If the first officer I encountered had let me and many others to go south instead of directing us into the middle of the congestion, there would have been less people involved in the traffic mess. I’ve always enjoyed the fireworks. But I can go see the ones in Indianapolis and get home much quicker.

Darts to the editorial staff of the Daily Journal for publishing a story on the Whiteland soccer league but printing a full page picture of a Center Grove coach.

Every high school student in Whiteland knows you got

it wrong!

Darts to the people who abuse the privilege of having the recycle bins at Emmanuel Church on Stones Crossing Road. In the past few weeks there have been jugs from farm chemicals and heavy trash from remodeling projects. Carpet remnants do not qualify as paper recycling.

To the Allen Commercial Group: The people of Whiteland were excited to have the old “Mr. D’s” building sold. However, the new owners haven’t done anything to improve the property until told to do so by the town. Obviously they were looking for a hefty profit on a quick turnaround sale they never acquired. The town deserves better!
