Edinburgh police are looking for three men who they say robbed a gas station at gunpoint and fired a shot when they left.

The robbery happened at 8:46 p.m. Saturday at the Bonkerz Sunoco gas station, located at 8733 W. State Road 252.

Three men went into the gas station wearing masks and one of the men had a gun. The gas station clerk ran outside for help, and the men took money, cigarettes, lighters and sunglasses, according to a news release from police.

The men left, firing a shot as they got into their vehicle. Police officers were there within minutes, but the men were already gone, the release said.

Police said the men were driving a white 1990s Ford or Mercury sport utility vehicle with a black luggage rack and silver rims.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective David Lutz at 812-526-2636 or by email at dlutz@edinburghpolice.org.
