People can give money to help comfort children and teens who have to stay in the hospital.

The Johnson Memorial Hospital Foundation is collecting monetary donations throughout February for the Pooh Bears for Molly campaign.

Pooh Bears for Molly provides a Pooh Bear to all children and adolescents who require a hospital stay at Johnson Memorial Hospital and to each newborn in celebration of his or her birth.

Pooh Bears for Molly began 15 years ago as a memorial to Molly Kathleen Gibson, a Franklin Community High School student who was comforted by her Pooh Bear when she stayed at the hospital.

Gibson died from head injuries sustained in a car accident about 15 years ago.

Monetary donations can be made online at www.johnsonmemorialfoundation.org or mailed to the Johnson Memorial Hospital Foundation, 1125 W. Jefferson St., Suite V, Franklin, IN 46131.
