Doctors join optometry practice in Greenwood

Ossip-Dixon Optometry in Greenwood has added two doctors to the practice, Drs. Ganhan Ewers and David Kercheval.

Ewers received her bachelor’s degree at Indiana University and earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1995. Ewers has more than 19 years in practice and 28 years in the optical field.

She is a member of several professional optometric associations. Her professional interests include medical optometric care, dry eye disease, contact lenses and sports vision training. She works with individual athletes and several sports teams in the Indianapolis area. Recently, she became a referral doctor for athletes with concussions through St. Vincent’s Sports Medicine.

She and her husband, Dirk, live in Franklin Township and have three children.

Kercheval is a 1975 graduate of Indiana University School of Optometry with Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees. He has served the southside through his practice for 34 years. He served at Indiana University as a clinical instructor in contact lenses. He interned at Hawley Army Hospital at Fort Benjamin Harrison and has published educational articles. He is a certified associate of TLC Laser Inc.

Kercheval is merging his practice, formerly at 2550 S. State Road 135 in Greenwood, with Ossip-Dixon effective April 28.
